The world leader in the chemical industry expands its portfolio of Polypropylene (PP) with PP PPA20

Sabic announced the launch of PP PPA20, an Impact Copolymer (ICP) for application in household appliances, cosmetic packaging and furniture. The product is shown as an alternative that meets the demand for smart devices, savings and sustainable materials.

The new polymer provides a combination of high gloss, strength, and superior processability. Compared to other solutions, it offers brand owners, molders, and equipment manufacturers significant cost and potential for energy savings, higher flow, and faster crystallization than traditional materials. Additionally, it eliminates the need for pre-drying and can be injection molded at lower temperatures compared to ABS.

The advantage for consumers is the phthalate-free polymer technology, which provides greater safety, especially in devices and packaging that come into contact with food. The PP PPA20 is available in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions, and will be introduced next year in America.
