Hasbro recycles its toys

1 May, 2018

Hasbro will launch a new toy and play recycling pilot program, in collaboration with TerraCycle, a leader in product recycling, who will recycle them into materials that can be used in the construction of play spaces, flower pots, park benches and other innovative uses. .

“As a company, we know that consumers share our commitment to caring for our planet for future generations, and we see this as an exciting step on our path to sustainability,” said John Frascotti, president of the company.

The US-only pilot program is open to all Hasbro toys and games, including head-to-head games, plastic and electronic toys, action figures, dolls, plush and more.

Earlier this year, the company announced that it will begin using plant-based Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) for blister packs and plastic windows in its product packaging starting in 2019.
