Innovia Films introduces RayoForm EUP60, a white BOPP film for In-Mold Labeling (IML). European-manufactured in one of their state-of-the-art facilities, EUP60 is a very high opacity, high performance product with a density of just 0.55g/cm3. Combined with its specially formulated, printable matte surface, EUP60 has been designed to provide outstanding high speed sheet feeding and adhesion for both UV and oxidative inks.

EUP60 is designed with special features that make it suitable for lids or containers of any shape without risk of distortion. This film is perfect for small to medium sized thick and thin walled PP (polypropylene) or PE (polyethylene) containers and provides a soft touch finish after moulding. It also means that a finished polyolefin mono-material package can be produced, making the final package fully recyclable and meeting Plastic Recyclers Europe’s package design recommendations.

Alasdair McEwen, Label Product Manager explains: “In addition to the technical capabilities of the EUP60, we can produce longer customer reels than any other option on the market. printing efficiency, with print speeds of up to 14,000 sheets per hour being able to be achieved.This applies to roll-to-roll or roll-to-sheet converting processes and customers can choose either horizontal or vertical large diameter roll wrapping, depending on your needs.”

With the large diameter coils that Innovia can supply, fewer coil changes and higher efficiency for converters are generated, as well as a significant reduction in packaging waste.

McEwen adds: “Our 5-layer film technology allows us to produce this film with an optimum combination of performance, opacity, whiteness and printability, ensuring excellent off-press ink adhesion with traditional inks or UV offset inks.”
