The agreement is only awaiting ratification by Canada for the month of April
With 89 votes in favor and 10 against, the Trade Agreement between Mexico, Canada and the United States (T-MEC) was approved this Thursday by the US Senate; The agreement will now be sent to President Donald Trump for immediate signature and ratification official. Canada is expected to do the same in April to complete its full approval.

Among the opposition minority is the Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and the presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, who argue that the Treaty has good proposals on labor matters, but lacks strategies against climate change, the greatest threat facing the planet.
Finally, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, reacted by assuring that the new trade agreement will increase confidence among businessmen and attract new investments to the country.
