The Polyplastics Group develops components in automotive fuel systems
Polyplastics, announced the development of new Duracon Polyoxymethylene (POM) grades. This solution provides high flow, rigidity and design freedom for the production of injection molded components in the automotive fuel system.
Historically, one of the limitations of POM is the vulnerability to strong acids in fuel systems – including ORVR, shut-off and fuel pump valves – so the company will develop a grade that will provide acid resistance, in addition to it will be electrically conductive, as a measure against static electricity in components surrounding the fuel.
