In Italy, many companies are also converting part of their production to the manufacture of protection devices and to face the emergency. Negri Bossi who since April 9, 2020 has been using two injection machines to produce masks for the community through the help of the Lombard Civil Protection to counteract the spread of the coronavirus, works in collaboration with the Italian company Complastic Srl.
The company, founded in 1984 by Salvatore D’Alise, has a 2,000 m2 plant in the province of Caserta and specializes in thermoplastic injection and patented co-injection, mainly for the automotive and food sectors. , textiles and personal protective equipment.
Complastic Srl is developing a project to produce glasses and a face shield thanks to an injection molding machine delivered by Negri Bossi to the company in record time. This project was financed by Invialia for the decree of Cura Italia in order to face the Covid-19 emergency.
The design of the two products produced meet the requirements of the EN166: 2004 standard. In addition, they have made efforts to give maximum transparency to the glasses also on the side, so that the wearer’s visual field is not diminished and reduce the fatigue that causes its use for many consecutive hours.
In the Complastic Srl project, the expected productivity at full capacity is 2,000 pieces per day for the glasses and the face shield.
All this has been possible thanks to a work between several companies: Negri Bossi has also worked with ADM that made the mold of the containers, with Moretto SpA that supplied the peripheral equipment of the machine (dehumidification, thermoregulation and granulation), with the supplier for raw material AT & Service Srl (Pastorano – CE) and for packaging, Paper Sun Sas.
