The PetComfort by WeatherTech received rave reviews in the United States

Americhem, partnered with WeatherTech’s new business, PetComfort, to develop custom FDA and NSF certified TPE compounds, as well as additive and color masterbatch solutions. These solutions focus on pet feeding systems.

The developed additives are antimicrobial and antifungal for TPE and PP. WeatherTech used an FDA compliant human food contact polymer enhanced with an Americhem additive that also passed FDA and NSF standards.

Americhem combined 11 colors to be used in eight different sizes and provided multiple products designed to work in combination: custom color masterbatches, pre-colored custom formulated Sevrene TPE, and antimicrobial / antifungal functional masterbatches. In addition, he was able to critically match these different materials and custom formulate the pre-colored TPE compound to the required hardness.

All products were also formulated, sourced and produced in the United States. Matthew Hellstern, CEO of Americhem, assured that PetComfort by WeatherTech had a successful national launch with many customers becoming excited about their new pet feeding systems.
