AXA Mexico aims to reduce carbon emissions by 2025: 38% energy, 9% water, 24% fleet, 8% flights, 20% office paper, 20% MKT paper, 100% renewable energy
Pollutant emissions from automobiles not only put the air we breathe into play, but also our atmosphere. For several years now, hybrid cars have become one of the main allies in the fight against climate change.
Advantages of hybrid cars
In countries like Mexico, hybrid mobility has other advantages in addition to environmental ones. And is that, due to its low environmental footprint, in Mexico, this type of vehicle is exempt from verification and payment of ownership. Other advantages of these vehicles, highlights AXA Mexico, are:
They save approximately 50% in fuel consumption.
They reduce pollutant emissions by up to 80%.
They do not produce auditory pollution (noise).
The change to the hybrid model
As part of its strategy against climate change, AXA Mexico aims to reduce carbon emissions by 2025: 38% energy, 9% water, 24% fleet, 8% flights, 20% office paper, 20% MKT paper, 100% renewable energy.
For this reason, in 2021 the 529 cars in its fleet of utility and distribution cars that circulate throughout the country will change to hybrid models, which represents an investment of 176 million pesos. With this action, they will reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 47% and achieve a 50% savings in fuel consumption.
AXA concludes that hybrid cars can be a good alternative to transport ourselves, reducing the impact on our planet.
