ELIX Polymers launches a new line of ABS products under the Chemical Compliance (CC) brand aimed at toys, packaging, cosmetics and products that come into contact with food. The purpose of the new range is to satisfy the needs of consumers who are increasingly concerned about the safety of the materials with which daily use products are made.

Strengthening the standards applied during the production of CC grades will allow ELIX to offer additional guarantees regarding regulatory compliance throughout the useful life of the finished products.

The line includes a package of services that will help OEMs carry out their product verification and management processes, as well as perform quality and safety tests of the products based on the requirements that OEMs may be subject to.

In addition, application degrees are taken into account, allowing consumers to choose according to their needs. The ELIX ABS P2H-CC and ELIX ABS P3H-CC injection mold grades, based on each requirement, are just two of the many offered by this new CC line. Its characteristics include its ease of processing, the glossy finish, intense color and the service that facilitates the administration of the product for OEMs.

Ignacio Buezas, ELIX Polymers business development manager, noted that the new food contact materials and services package offers a level of compliance assistance above that generally offered by material suppliers. He also noted the commitment they have regarding issues such as verification and material guarantees.
