Chem-Trend, a firm specialized in the development and manufacture of high-performance mold release agents, granular cleaners and other auxiliary products for molding, has received the certification of the German Society for the Certification of Management Systems (DQS) according to UNE- EN 9100: 2016. In this way, the company complies with the strict quality requirements for suppliers of the aeronautical industry.
“In aeronautics, the highest quality standards have always been demanded. With the help of our customers in the aeronautical industry we want to take off very high as an innovative supplier of mold release agents for composites. The DQS certification confirms that we can meet even more demanding requirements, ”says Uwe Kaiser, Quality Manager at Chem-Trend.
Chem-Trend supplies release agents for compounds used in the manufacture of components, such as interior coatings, or structural components, such as vertical stabilizers. Efficient production is becoming increasingly important in aircraft construction as the number of parts to be made from composite materials is constantly increasing.
For certification according to UNE-EN 9100: 2016, the company management processes were adapted to the most demanding requirements, for example, with a greater orientation to the processes or a more extensive documentation. At Chem-Trend, the new certification replaces the previous ISO 9001: 2008 and includes the new ISO 9001: 2015.
“DQS certification gives all parties involved the assurance that our quality management system fully meets the technical requirements of the standard, which also benefits non-aeronautical customers,” adds Uwe Kaiser.
