Aimplas improves the detection and treatment of prostate cancer at the hands of Eresa

Aimplas (Technological Institute of Plastic), works hand in hand with Eresa in two initiatives that will improve the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. These are two projects framed in the national call for R & D Collaboration Challenges that are funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

The first of these is MRFID, which was recently concluded and is in the patent process. Thanks to her, it was possible to develop new tumor markers from innovative intelligent polymeric materials that constitute a unique solution for both CT and resonance imaging.

After the good results, Aimplas and Eresa continue their research within the framework of the Moisés project, which develops a solution at an accessible cost. This alternative is based on commercial medical grade polymers, so it can be made in any hospital radiopharmacy. This is to reduce the sessions from 29 to just five.
