The company launches a low-odor, low-emission elastomer
Kraiburg TPE presented a new material at Chinaplas 2019 that opens up new opportunities for automotive designers. Hybrid thermoplastic elastomers (TEH) make it possible to combine different mixtures of elastomers and thermoplastics with cross-linked systems. Their excellent performance makes them stand out as an alternative in the automotive sector.
Among the performance properties of TEHs include a hardness of 55 to 80 Shore A, operation in temperatures up to 150 ° C and chemical stability against oils, lubricants, fuels and refrigerants. Therefore, they are suitable for use in combustion engines and batteries for electric vehicles, as well as in lubrication and cooling systems. Direct applications include seals and gaskets, plugs, connectors, and caps.
