Weerg expands its range of materials for 3D printing with the introduction of the new Extreme Carbon Fiber + PA12, the result of an exclusive formulation developed by the enhanced internal R&D department. It is a high-tech thermoplastic polymer in yarn that combines and optimizes the advantages of the two materials that compose it, guaranteeing advanced mechanical properties, dimensional stability and resistance to chemical products. For the processing of this material, Weerg has also implemented 6 new 3D printing systems with FDM technology dedicated to production with the new Extreme.
They are of high performance solutions that complement the 12 industrial printers HP Multi Jet Fusion 5210 already present in the wide range of machines, creating a cutting-edge production department for 3D printing, unique in Europe.
Specially formulated to replace metal, Extreme Carbon Fiber + PA12 guarantees stiffness and XYZ flexural strength superior to those of the classic PA12, with performances that are close to those of 5083 aluminum. Among the advantages, the extreme lightness derived from the 15% rectilinear filling and excellent chemical resistance to oils, fats and aliphatic and alkaline hydrocarbons. Extreme Carbon Fiber + PA12 also absorbs very little moisture, a feature that guarantees optimal performance in all conditions, even outdoors and below zero. Currently available in a natural black finish, which fully respects its mechanical characteristics, this material is ideal for applications that require the right combination of rigidity, strength and lightness in a variety of sectors ranging from automotive to biomedicine, through industry. aerospace and design.
“We have invested in strengthening our Research and Development department to accelerate the testing of the most innovative open source materials in order to continue expanding our offering in the field of 3D printing,” says Matteo Rigamonti, founder of Weerg. A sector that in the last year has grown exponentially and increasingly shows the need for new materials for specific industrial processes. “The introduction of the Extreme allows us to propose online the production of parts and components that combine the performance of metals with the versatility of additive manufacturing, with the added value of all the pluses that distinguish the weerg.com platform, including extremely competitive costs ”, adds Rigamonti.
In fact, the Italian service that offers online CNC machining and 3D printing has always distinguished itself in the market for the validity of its proposal based on assets such as: 100% made in Italy quality, state-of-the-art technologies automated workflow whose economies scale allow the company to be very competitive. In addition to all the advantages of the service based on pure e-commerce, from the exclusive online quote to the specific delivery date. The launch of the new Extreme Carbon Fiber + PA12 is backed by a promotional campaign that offers interesting discounts to customers who decide to try its features. In addition, Weerg has already announced the publication, in the coming weeks, of additional materials that will be added to those currently in the range. In addition to the new Extreme Carbon Fiber + PA12 printed with FDM technology, Weerg proposes, in fact, 3D processing in Nylon PA12, Nylon PA11 and Polypropylene, made with HP MJF Technology, and in ABS as a gray resin obtained with MSLA LED with the exclusive proprietary technology 4KSPER technology.
